El pasado 3 de abril la Dra. Flavia Silva presentó renuncia a Cabildo Abierto, partido político que integra desde su fundación de cara a las elecciones nacionales de 2019.
De hecho, fue candidata a la intendencia por el sector Avanza Florida en setiembre de 2020.
Posteriormente, asumió como secretaria general de la Agencia Nacional de Vivienda y desde mayo de 2022 fue la gerente general del organismo, cargo al que también renunció.
Según expresó en la nota, motiva su decisión “la falta de apoyo por parte de la filiación política ante situaciones personales de público conocimiento”.
En la misiva destacó el camino transcurrido dentro de la fuerza política.
Silva egresó de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de la República en el año 2013 obteniendo el título de Doctora en Derecho y Ciencias Sociales.
Consultada por TV Florida, indicó que priorizará su familia y profesión que tanto desatendió en este tiempo para cumplir con su rol en la ANV.
Si bien hay rumores de una posible incorporación al Partido Nacional, lo negó rotundamente, aunque reconoció que desde antes incluso de su renuncia había tenido invitaciones.
No obstante, aclaró que para nada es el motivo de su decisión de alejarse de la dirigencia cabildante y de la ANV.
