Hijos/as de trabajadoras sexuales no reciben becas estudiantiles por falta de recibos de sueldos
La activista social fundadora de la Organización de Trabajadoras Sexuales del Uruguay Karina Núñez llegó a Florida y pasó por nuestros estudios a agradecer a nuestros medios por la colaboración en su lucha.
Llegó a agradecer y saludar sin dejar nunca de lado los fuerte gritos de protesta buscando dignificar las vidas de sus compañeras y la contemplación y cumplimiento de los derechos correspondientes, y así es que no se calla y rompe los cánones impuestos diciendo la verdad de forma muy crida para que la sociedad tenga en cuenta su lucha: “Si tendrá poder el sexo que por una pepa cayó Roma”.
Remarcó una y otra vez la importancia de que Florida hoy tiene en la Universidad a 1 de los 9 estudiantes hijos de trabajadoras sexuales del país,
mientras su mamá trabaja en una whiskería su hijo comienza derecho acompañado y contenido por la organización en Montevideo.
Los hijos e hijas de las trabajadoras sexuales no pueden recibir becas porque el estado les exige a sus madres la presentación de recibos de sueldos que obviamente no tienen, entre otras cosas la vida de los chicos y chicas se sustenta con la solidaridad de compañeras que por ejemplo sortean servicios sexuales entre sus clientes para sustentar los gastos que existen.

Karina Núñez llegó de sorpresa a saludar y agradecer a Fabricio Alvarez por la colaboración desde siempre: “Vine a saludarte porque es la última venida a Florida del año, vengo a una reunión de trabajo, y no quería dejar de venir a agradecerte personalmente…quería mirarte a los ojos y agradecerte porque entre otras cosas las compañeras de este departamento a través de tus programas han sido beneficiadas al ser recibidas con respeto en cada una de las instituciones que han ido acudiendo.
Quería venir a agradecerte porque es una manera de retribuir todo lo que has dado, vos has sido un nexo importante para que las vidas de estas compañeras y de sus gurises sea más digna, un hijo recibiendo el pase a segundo año de la facultad de derecho y su mamá acá por videollamadas viendo eso con mucha felicidad, y por eso no quería enviarte un mensaje sino pasar por acá para mirarte a los ojos para agradecerte porque cada vez que vine acá la gente les respondió a mis compañeras de una forma tan amorosa, y hoy teniendo a un chico nuestro transitando la universidad quería agradecértelo…”
