“Lo mejor para los uruguayos es la continuidad de un acuerdo de coalición, hemos hecho cosas que estaban pendientes, algunas están inconclusas y otras por hacer”, dijo en Florida el precandidato presidencial del Partido Independiente, Pablo Mieres, quien participó de la inauguración de un comité.
Mieres señaló que en una futura coalición es importante que el Partido Independiente tenga mayor peso.
Además, señaló que el partido tiene “buena acumulación en políticas sociales”, al punto que admitió “nos gustaría poder llevar adelante las políticas sociales”.
“No estoy reclamando nada, simplemente digo tenemos ese perfil”, aclaró.
Sobre la polémica por el spot de cinco minutos de Álvaro Delgado, reconoció que “hay mecanismos para esquivar la veda de publicidad electoral”.
“El sentido de la veda está como desnaturalizado, este caso destaca más porque la publicidad es más larga, peor hemos visto varios casos”, enfatizó.
A propósito, indicó que el avance de la tecnología y las redes sociales “han hecho que la prohibición sea injusta con los medios tradicionales”.
De hecho, remarcó que “no se puede tapar el sol con los dedos” y que lo respaldaría “asumir que tiene que haber libertad de publicidad, más que estar limitando”.
