Caso Lucía y Saraí: SCJ ratificó condena de 5 años y dispuso prisión efectiva para el joven
Desde el pasado viernes 29 de abril el joven condenado por el fallecimiento de Lucía Borges y Saraí Arbelo pasó a cumplir la pena en prisión efectiva.
Así lo determinó la Suprema Corte de Justicia al ratificar en tercera instancia que la jueza de primera instancia tenía razón cuando dictaminó los cinco años de pena.
Recordamos que luego de las apelaciones la defensa del joven presentó un recurso de casación a la Suprema Corte de Justicia.
El joven cumplió en el entorno de 37 meses en prisión domiciliaria, restándole por delante unos 41 meses en prisión efectiva, aunque será el juzgado el que informe con exactitud cuándo se haga la “liquidación de pena”.
El abogado Gustavo Mega se reunió con las dos familias, coincidiendo en “dar vuelta la página en la parte penal”, dijo.
El abogado recordó que resta la instancia civil donde se está a la espera de la fijación de audiencia por daños y perjuicios a cargo de la juez de tercer turno.
La demanda es “contra el imputado y su padre por haberle prestado el auto”, señaló.
Mega contó que las familias agradecieron y felicitaron al equipo de fiscalía por el gran trabajo, asegurando que ahora pueden dormir un poco más tranquilas, ya que “cerraban una etapa de mucho desgaste y sentimientos encontrados”.
